A Switch-Reduced Multicell-to-Multicell Battery Equalizer Based on Full-Bridge Bipolar-Resonant LC Converter

چکیده

Many battery equalizers have been proposed to achieve voltage consistency between series connected cells. Among them, the multicell-to-multicell (MC2MC) equalizers, which can directly transfer energy from consecutive more-charged cells less-charged cells, enable fast balancing and a high efficiency. However, due limitations of it is not possible equalization reduce size circuit at same time. Therefore, MC2MC equalizer based on full-bridge bipolar-resonant LC Converter (FBBRLCC) in this paper, only implements equalization, but also greatly reduces by reducing number switches nearly half. A mathematical model simulation comparison with conventional are used illustrate high-speed performance excellent An experimental prototype for eight built verify FBBRLCC efficiencies different operating modes 85.19% 88.77% average power 1.888 W 14.227 W.
